Don't expect much training if you work in the Components Department. The EWP Department does great on training their employees. 84 Lumber has been aware of this for years. They're just slow to move forward.
Facial hair for local employees is severely micromanaged and enforced. No beards are allowed and you will get called out. We don't even work in a location with customers.
Company brought in record profits in 2021. Our year-end bonus was a $20 gift card and a shirt. Same as previous years. Would be so nice to share in some of the financial profits like other companies thank their employees.
Cannot control your PTO as easily as other companies. We have to take it in either half day or full day increments, not hourly. It's also separated into Vacation/Personal/Sick instead of a lump number of hours. I'd like to control how I use my benefits, not let the company decide how to allocate it.
