Pros
Collaborative team members and exposure to regional work. Opportunity to work on interesting topics, particularly in technology and emerging areas like AI and risk.
Cons
There was a noticeable gap between the role I was hired for and the responsibilities I was expected to take on. Shortly after joining, I was assigned tasks outside my scope, often with limited clarity and minimal guidance.
Workload expectations were high and at times felt more suited for multiple roles, which made it challenging to manage priorities effectively. Despite proactively asking for direction and support, responses were not always consistent, making it difficult to deliver with confidence.
Over time, this created a situation where expectations continued to increase without the necessary structure or support in place, making it difficult to meet performance standards despite best efforts.
When performance concerns were raised, feedback was communicated in a way that emphasized a lack of confidence, without clear guidance or a structured plan for improvement. This made it difficult to understand how to move forward or recover.
My employment eventually ended without what I felt was a clear or well-communicated process, which was disappointing given the circumstances.
