Pros

The company is continuously changing and evolving, as I've seen their strategies change and adapt all throughout my time with the company. There is no limit to how many projects I have been able to take on and the CEO is very flexible and encourages employees to pursue their interests- so long as it can add value to the company, even if it means gaining knowledge through learning from mistakes. The company culture is pretty enjoyable as everyone is young and friendly, and coworkers often get lunch together and hang out outside of the office.

Cons

Because of its nature as a start-up, you really need to be creative in order to maximize your abilities. There are no fancy databases or platforms that are available to you like there may be at other larger firms, so it is up to you to make the most of what is free and available to you in order to maximize your productivity. There are two sides to that coin though, as it does encourage everyone to be more creative and brainstorm together ways they can do things more efficiently with the tools that are available. Every day is different, meaning you may have to drop the project you've been working on in order to address the needs of the day. This certainly can be frustrating at times, but it is never boring.

Pros

- Supportive atmosphere of employees and supervisors. Absolutely amazing team of hardworking colleagues who truly show up. - Learning every day on the job, even outside of my formal role and responsibilities. I was also given the chance to act on my own initiative, choosing where I think I would best complement the company's progress. - Opportunities to try out different projects. - Flexible schedule, perfect for a busy college student. - Taste testing new products! - Culture is great–people listen when you talk, actually care how you are doing before jumping into work-related issues.

Cons

- Not sure I have a formal "con" for my internship experience at 6AM Health. Due to the nature of me working at a startup and also part-time, due to my college class schedule, I was never really sure what I would be working on on any given day or where I was most needed, but I didn't mind the ambiguity. It kept things interesting! - Pay rate was not competitive, but I believe they paid what they could, and I was grateful for all that I learned and the relationships that I formed.
