Pros
Good housing was incuded in a compensation package. For most of my time there, it was one of the best employment experiences I've ever had. It was busy - as property management generally is - but worth it, due to the positive culture, solid support and open communication.
Cons
Ownership began the company with a core set of values, first and foremost was "best experience for all". As the company has grown, those ideals have taken a back seat to expansion and profitability. I understand the need to maximize efficiency and reign in budgets, yet it was disheartening to witness such drastic changes to their beloved philosophy. Equally frustrating was the erosion of manager input into operational procedures and of open communications. It seems the company is in the process of installing standardized managerial proceedures that cater to a "lowest common denominator" and therefore minimizing autonomy. The changes did not support either job satisfaction or career preferences and were counter to the attractiveness of the opportunity when hired. With that being said, the owners are great people.
