Pros

There are very few "Pros" to working at 314e now. The people in the office are nice to work with and get along pretty well. There are sponsored lunches every month, although the budget they use doesn't get you much anymore. There are 8 paid holidays.

Cons

There is a laundry list of cons for 314e, here are some of the major ones: 1. Salary is no where near competitive with their location, even though the advertise having so on their website. 2. Management has some major issues. They don't listen to their employees. When an issue comes up, they'll play it off like "why don't you tell us" when we already have and it has gotten to become pointless. 3. There is no transparency and there is a serious lack in communication with employees. 4. Turn over is a problem. At one point in time, the Fremont office had about 30 people in it. Now it has less than 10. They used to hire new people to replace the ones leaving; however, they no longer do. 5. There is no trust in employees. They are hiring full-time sales team members for certain regions of the US that get to work 100% remote. However, when someone in the Fremont office wants to work from home, even just for a day, we get an ear-full about how we are supposed to be in the office. 6. There are many thing wrong with the actual building we work in. And where there were some efforts to remedy them, those efforts were very minimal. 7. Going back to working remote and how management has issues listening to employees, there is no real upper management in the office. Our upper management works remote most of the time, and when they do come in, it is for maybe a couple of hours. Telling upper management about issues is one thing, but for them to not come into the office, like they expect us to on a daily basis, means they don't even see the issues. Furthermore, with their lack in caring, it makes it look like it is done deliberately so that these issues can be easily ignored. 8. Micromanagement. Every task that is given is micromanaged. It is hard to describe the level of how bad it is. But just expect a constant barrage of comments and delegations for tasks you might already have under control. The one thing that management does not realize, or is completely blind to, is that the constant micromanagement slows down productivity dramatically, which affects the businesses bottom line. 9. Because of a lot of these problems, morale is down in the office. And again, if management actually came into the office, they'd see this. Nothing is being done to fix the morale or bring people's spirits up. What's the side effect to low morale? Simple answer: production suffers, which is bad for the bottom line of the company. 10. 314e boast that we have good benefits. Well let me just tell you, they do offer full medical, vision, and dental benefits. Sure that might be fine. But their employer contribution is 50% employee and 50% spouse/dependent. I Interviewed for many places before leaving. Almost every employer I met contributes 100% employee and more than 50% dependents. These are just SOME of the issues within the company. There are many more. Oh and some of those 4 and 5 star reviews on Glassdoor right now, pay little attention to them, they were written by our upper management to try and boost 314e's ratings. The company is going down the drain, we can all see it. It is just a matter of time.
