Pros
There are a lot of really smart people who used to work at this company.
Cons
It's complicated to figure out what the situation is at this company since they have created and shed their identity a few times. pre- 2009 -- was owned and run by the founder -- company was a startup - scrappy but not always professional 2009 - 2012 -- brought in "professional" management -- company became much more corporate 2012-2014 -- was bought by two private equity firms and at the same time ran into some big regulatory problems had to kick off most of their most profitable customers 2014-2015 -- private equity owners decided that the company had stabilized and it was time to grow - new management team is hired, more money is raised, lots of new people are hired Fall 2015 -- the growth experiment is over, now the company is in a "preserve cash at all costs" mode, new CEO brought in, project to re-write the software is canceled, more than 1/3 of the employees are laid off the week before thanksgiving (had 5 business days to find new health insurance)
