Pros

As a privately owned company (Hubbard Broadcasting), the compassion and warm environment that 2060 offers is unlike anything I have seen elsewhere. They invest in their people and value their talent, no matter how long you’ve been here. Everyone on the team is so energetic and full of new ideas on how to push the envelope, build brands and keep our work culture fresh. The President of the company is amazing as well— he was an old radio exec who saw the future in digital and jumped out early to lead the charge. Such a fun spirit and analytical leader to be at the helm. Absolutely love this place and would recommend to anyone, regardless of years in the industry. This year they added 1 work form home day each week, which has been awesome. And they also do team sports leagues, quarterly team lunches and happy hours and there’s a chance for the radio side’s free leftover tickets to concerts and events, which is sweet considering we don’t do anything with that division of the business.

Cons

Pay isn’t the greatest but there are certainly trade offs to that. In addition, some people feel there are cliques, and with the team being less than 100 people, that can feel lonely at times. There also seems to be a never ending need to hire on for more people, which they struggle with— so that means everyone is working hard and fast trying to keep up on a huge workload.

Pros

In-office coworkers are great people Job is somewhat flexible Work-life balance is reasonable

Cons

Company is losing money hand over fist right now after 2 bad years in a row Parent company does not care about anyone but the board Parent company is in radio which as a dying industry sets everyone back - even in the good years, it’s up to everyone else to make sacrifices Management takes all the credit for good culture but contributes very little to it Company went years without layoffs and now is creating a habit of utilizing them and getting rid of very good employees in the process One member of upper management is awful at their job but seems to be protected from any blowback, despite years of complaints against them, including wearing politically divisive apparel Benefits are just now entering the 21st century but still have a long way to go to be competitive If you aren’t a corporate yes man, you won’t succeed here Company is built on whatever the markets want, you don’t have the freedom to push back Despite being hybrid, you no longer get to pick the days in office that you want Theres no upward mobility and if you do somehow land a role, you’re at the top of the list to get pushed out Very non-diverse work place - they don’t value non-traditional holidays Non-competitive salary in the industry and no willingness to improve their standing
