Pros

Unfortunately, I struggle to find any significant pros while working at 1-Grid. The cons far outweigh any potential positives.

Cons

1. Massive Workload: The workload is overwhelming, leaving barely any time to settle down. This constant pressure leads to high stress and burnout among employees. 2. Poor Management Structure: Everything is managed directly through the CEO, including support, SEO marketing, infrastructure, and finance. This lack of a defined corporate structure results in a chaotic work environment, resembling a small business rather than a structured company. 3. Outdated Infrastructure: The equipment is old and outdated. Employees are forced to use old desktops, and even the office furniture is falling apart. Chairs are uncomfortable, and the hosting environment is ancient, leading to frequent downtime and client dissatisfaction. 4. Inefficient Systems: The systems in place are inefficient and barely functional, largely due to the dated hosting environment. This places an enormous burden on the system administration team, causing constant delays and project backlogs. 5. Lack of Stability: Employee turnover is extremely high, leading to a loss of system knowledge. New hires are expected to quickly adapt to the system without proper training, which is both challenging and demotivating. 6. Inadequate Remuneration: The staff is severely underpaid, with salaries almost 20%-30% below the industry standard. This contributes to low morale and high turnover rates.

Pros

This is actually a great business with much potential. Unfortunately there is one common thread in the reviews - see below.

Cons

All the previous reviews are accurate. There is extremely high turnover, and many employees are pressured to resign rather than being supported. The CEO has narcissistic behaviour, often treating staff unfairly and creating a toxic environment. This makes it very challenging to maintain a healthy mental well-being. If you value a supportive, stable workplace, this may not be the right company for you. Middle management is trying hard to get things fixed, but has little say when it comes to decisions from the CEO and how he wants things.

Pros

Worked with some supportive colleagues and gained technical experience in the web hosting sector. The office environment was diverse.

Cons

The company has failed to honor basic statutory requirements following my dismissal. Despite providing a detailed roster and involving legal counsel, I am still owed R 21,500.70 in earned wages and leave.
