[P1] Games runs a free open-source incubator funded by sponsors. We have never sold a single asset from that community. Three out of four participants find it more valuable than their university experience.
The Apache Contributor License Agreement (CLA), which we have everyone sign is used with the Apache License and protects users from patent lawsuits. Our legal team recommended using the Apache CLA alongside the Apache License.
When it comes to Reddit, it should be made clear that Reddit is operated by volunteers, and in this case, a disabled volunteer failed to properly assess what was handed to them by somebody who was blackmailing our company at the same time, and decided to take an action without double-checking. To suggest that this is the majority of indie game development Reddits, is disingenuous. In fact, we were recently publicly endorsed by a group of almost 700,000 on Reddit at the same time.
