Pros

I had worked there for almost 3 years, you get to mixed with a pool of diversified port-folio colleagues, learnt a lot of other cultures was one of the gain for me.

Cons

HR was weak, no building of moral within the company. To make things worst, the HR implement certain irrational rules to further demotivate the team. No benefits for expat like transportation, accommodation and start salary was far too low for someone to leave their hometown and be ready to contribute to the long working hours.

Pros

The only pros at Raffles are the teachers, you can meet fantastic people with different backgrounds.

Cons

There is no interest in investing in equipment and improvement of teaching. The rooms are often falling apart, the equipment outdated, the management is always sucking the blood of the teachers and treating them pretty much as slaves. Foreign teachers are a very good tool to promote the company, you will be invited to attend public events just to show up your foreign face there. The management is poor with very low experienced people and if you believe you can build a career at Raffles, forget about it! They often create more "job positions" in order to make the path longer for a higher position, and of course, always low paid.

Design College or Military Camp?

Business outlook

Pros

The students are very nice.

Cons

The management is way below the average. No experience, neither educational nor professional. They hire professionals, preferably westerners - pretending to give "international education" - and then try to control and threaten them in any possible way, placing "authority" before expertise. The equipment necessary for the lessons - it's a Design College -, is non existent and, when available, is hardly working. The building itself is in such poor conditions, smelly and run down. The working hours are definitely too many, 8 hrs a day + 2/3 saturday mornings every month, and the salary not sufficient to live a decent life in a city like Delhi, that is not "cheap" as they say in their welcome letter - but you discover it too late. No benefits are offered, everything is left on the employer - that is a few thousand kilometers from home, so in kind of a distress to find out everything by himself.
