      Pros

      No one is hanging over you shoulder while you work. Expectations are clear and simple. The grocery stores I worked in had very good people to learn about the grocery business, and I use their info to this day in many retail environments. Merchandising is a great way to explore different careers.

      Cons

      The schedule was only available a few days before it went into effect, and towards the end, the times were micromanaged more than a job like this needed.
