Pros

If you like to "get over on others" or not sleep at night - then this is for you But they do allow you to drink on the job to overcome any guilt of selling unaccredited prerequisites to low-income individuals through a retail contract loan. 8 classes = $16,000 or FREE at IVY Tech? If you like to sleep with the boss - APPLY now!

Cons

The upper management that looks right through you when you call them out on their scam. The "Instructors" are not even in the country nor are they qualified.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. We’ll address issues in the comments individually. Yes, there is a commute; however, we provided an earned option to work remotely. We currently allow each team member to work remotely one day a week in response to a request for that schedule adjustment in order to create an opportunity for a flexible work environment. We believe that the base salary is competitive in the market place for similar positions. If in sales, that base is part of a package that includes a competitive commission rate and production bonuses. Combined, it is our hope that each person will earn a comfortable living coupled with a positive work environment. The owners of the company are committed to the academic success of each student we serve as well as a positive work environment for each and every team member. Because the owners have over 50 years’ combined experience in post-secondary education and the executive management team has an additional 60 years in this market, we believe we have our finger on the pulse of what the market demands and on what our students require for success. Having said that, we also have an open door policy that encourages input from every team member as we continually improve deliverables. We value the thoughts, concerns and ideas from each and every DLSI team member.

Pros

- very flexible - 0 micromanagement - metrics are easy to hit

Cons

Oh where do I begin… blatant favoritism. The policies for the sales reps apply to everyone, except one employee. Said 1 employee is allowed to steal leads from every other rep with no repercussions, they’re allowed to lie to students on their cell phone to prevent the calls from being recorded, and nothing punitive has ever happened to them. Academics knows this person lies for every enrollment and management flat out does not care. This is why we have the bad reviews we do. This employee also works from home despite there being a clear work from home policy that we all signed, and nobody is anywhere close to meeting the requirements. The money is way off. The indeed posting says something like 60-75k a year, and all the sales reps (except for those random employees that were given a higher base salary from upper management) are lucky to break 50. You will not make 60-75k a year, you won’t even be close. Upper management lies and they are unwilling to listen to anything the actual salespeople have to say. The good reviews we have were put online by the owners friends, they’re all fake. Our whole goal is just to lock students into a paper ‘loan’ so they can write it off on taxes as a loss.

We are happy to address these comments. There is no favoritism, blatant or otherwise at this company. Everyone is treated fairly and with respect. The individual referred to here worked for the company for over 3 years and always produced at a very high level. This individual moved out of state but wished to continue employment while working remotely. Based on this team members tenure and productivity with the company we agreed. The company did allow all staff to work remotely one day a week and also provided a program that would allow any team member to work remotely full time. Calls are recorded for training purposes and are monitored systematically. On rare occasions when a representative might not have been clear about a specific issue, that representative receives counseling and retraining if necessary. These are very rare occurrences. Our program is so student centric and supportive, it is simply not necessary to misrepresent any aspect of it. While it is impossible to please every customer, our Google review score with students is 4.5 / 5.0. Payroll is very confidential so we are not sure where this information came from, but our sales people are paid a base salary plus commissions and bonuses and certainly have the ability to earn substantially more than is represented in the comment. While virtually little of this complaint is factual, we are proud of the fact that we have been serving students nationwide for over 25 years with amazing success and have seen multiple people retire from our company. Several more of our staff with over 10 – 15 years of service continue to care for our student population as they would their own families. Our primary focus is and has always been the academic success of each and every student.
