I was surprised and saddened to see this review. I am not sure if it was posted by a DirectiveGroup employee since we don’t have any employees in Tampa. Wherever an employee resides, however, we do have an open-door policy, and we support employee wellbeing actively through programs like COA to develop communication and other emotional fitness skills. Our goal is that every employee here feels supported and is able to raise concerns they have about the work environment, either to the CEO or to HR (at our PEO). The concern described here was never raised so has not been deliberately addressed. That said, we do have standards and we do have processes that we expect everyone at our virtual company to follow. These are crucial to keeping us all in sync with each other and they support our business mission to deliver exceptional value. If an employee were to feel micromanaged, they are likely a new employee being taught the processes or they are on a counseling/coaching program to overcome deficiencies. Other employees here are extremely independent in their work schedules and execution of daily work, coming together primarily for group activities and progress updates. This is why we screen for self-starters with strong initiative; our structure and expectation for high performance requires us to do our utmost to hire only A-players who want to work side by side with other A-players.

Pros

As a remote worker who was brought on to assist with writing and editing content, I am very pleased with my experience at DirectiveGroup. The leadership is very communicative, patient, and helpful and all of the staff are also collaborative and eager to assist. There is a good variety of projects to work on for the customers and the entire experience has been a wonderful experience where I have been able to exercise my professional skills while learning about the field of digital marketing.

Cons

Some of the remote aspects are challenging in terms of communication and organization, but the leadership is very approachable and open to any input about how to improve.

Pros

The company is very transparent. You are granted autonomy to grow out your own roles as long as it is providing value to the firm. The internal team is absolutely wonderful and supportive. There is a nice mix of clients who are very nice to deal with. Leadership is phenomenal. The CEO has a positive disposition and has built a great team. The CEO really is just the right level of "hands on" management for my preference. The CEO allows me to make sure that I understand my job responsibilities and guides me to appropriately make the best decision. She is always there if I need advice or guidance.

Cons

I am one of the remote positions, but the company does have several activities meetings throughout the month to feel connected. DG has struck a really nice balance here.
