Don't Risk Your Sanity

Pros

The pay is decent and they hire almost anyone. Apply if you're desperate, the job postings will say "experience required", but the only thing they seem to require is knowing how to answer the phone. But, if you do have the right background or knowledge, you could succeed. If you can handle all that comes with it..

Cons

YES, IT IS A CALL CENTER! Poor atmosphere, everyone is usually miserable from the stress and headaches. No support system from management, very "cliquey". No uniform followed structure at all for training, processes and procedures, so you better just know how to do it all. Don't make suggestions, they will be ignored. No work/life balance because you're exhausted from the stress of it all. Training does little to prepare you for the real job and you're buried from there.

Thank you for providing us feedback. At DirectPath, our intent is to hire the best qualified individuals for our positions. At the core of our success are the people – the Advocates - who interact with our members. Advocates begin with a tailored training program, learning what it means to be a DirectPath Advocate, how to use our customized case management platform and systems, and stay current on healthcare industry regulations and changes that may impact service delivery or the member experience. Our Advocates are trained and prepared on consistent and repeatable processes, and ready to help members get the most from their benefit programs. We are constantly evolving our training platform to keep current with the trends of the industry, and to best support our employees and help them be successful in their jobs. We are sorry that your experience wasn’t as positive as we would have liked. Additionally, frequent communication from the management team is important so we hold open communication meetings with our executive team and gather feedback after CEO-led quarterly company meetings. The management team continues to maintain an open door policy, as we value our employees and strive for an open, honest two-way communication culture at DirectPath.

Pros

Great management and staff, really passionate about helping clients and their employees, they are more interested in educating the clients then meeting a sales quota (although it is encouraged but it is easy to do with the training) keep in touch with you while not working and has training through out the year, opportunities to travel and you are taken care of very well while you do

Cons

Most of the work is only during enrollment months, traveling pretty constant during those months so if you have young ones or responsibilities that need you to be home often (pets, family, needy wife or husband;) it might be challenging at times
