Pros

Nothing. I can honestly say other than a few people I met there there was no positives that came out of the place

Cons

Where to begin? Work culture is slave driving. If you don't work overtime ( with no pay), you are considered a slacker. No training program for new employees. Employees are treated like numbers. Management seems anyone and everyone as expendable and replaceable at any time. Bonus program is an absolute joke. There are no metrics in place and bonuses are given based on popularity amongst management. No raises given ever, and the pay is way below any industry average. Turnover is also brutal there. I would say after senior management, tenure is less than 2 yrs in avg. Work culture is a joke...almost every employee is there for a pay check and would leave if ANYTHING better came along. Management lies to the employees with empty promises and stabs their people in the back. Theyre businesses immoral. They make their money ripping of their customers with outrageous fees. They work hand in hand with payday loan companies, who are basically legal loan sharks, who prey on the poor. CEO is only concerned with making money for himself and the shareholders ( of course he is the largest one). He will go into any business as long as it makes money for him, no matter how unscrupulous Industry is dying....they are a small fish in a big pond. It's only a matter of time before they get left behind by the big banks.

A Fool to Work Here

Pros

Some good people work here but they are leaving

Cons

The CEO behaves as if he is the sole owner. Flaunts his wealth while screwing staff. Payroll deductions for RRSP take six weeks to be credited to your account. Bonus sounds ok but only 1% of staff get anything decent. Most people are disengaged and looking elsewhere. Staff do not care about the company and do what they need to survive - a pay cheque not a career. I have heard that CEO screws people he fires paying them next to nothing. Some employees have to take his Porsche to fill up and wash - sounds feudal. Staff are harassed if they take a sick day - one employee was told "their are no sick day sin my department unless you are hospitalized - suck it up buttercup and get in to work". As I write this I realize I need to get out if I have any self-Respect.

Pros

There are none. The company treats their employees like cattle and will slit your throat if given the chance. There is a constant revolving door of people.

Cons

Oh what to say.... They refuse to listen to employees. The CEO is a sociopath. Management isn't on your side and HR is the CEO. He doesn't like you, pretty much a guarantee you'll be gone in short order. During my tenure, I saw a number of mass exoduses of employees. Turnover rates per year are in the 25-30% range and the few that have stuck around for longer than 2 years tend to leave shortly there after. The CEO controls everything financial; pay increases, bonuses, and he is also the HR department. It is not uncommon to hear him clear across the building yelling at people on the phone, using quite explicit profanity and threatening legal action against anyone that stands up to him. I know of a number of people that have taken him to the labour board and he's very good and keeping things in the courts for so long that you have to drop the suit or risk going bankrupt. I've had a large 12" blade that the CEO brought back from Australia rubbed up and down the back of my neck and then jabbed into my desk. I left, under no good circumstances shortly there after. The board of directors are stacked by the CEO so don't expect them to do anything. They're in his pocket and do his bidding.
