      Pros

      People here are driven not only to grow the company but also to play a role in protecting democracy. There's a culture of working hard, but also of treating colleagues decently and respectfully, and a conscious emphasis on creating a supportive environment. And there is definitely room to advance internally.

      Cons

      This isn't a place where you can coast. The pace of breaking news and the need to be responsive to subscribers mean that if you're looking for a workplace with a more relaxed rhythm this may not be the best fit for you.

      Democracy Docket is a great team of folks. Everyone is welcoming, friendly, and passionate about their work. Anyone can bring new ideas to the table. The company attitude is “Try new things. If it works, great. If not, try something else.”

      News is fast-paced and sometimes requires tight turnarounds or work outside of business hours.
