Pros

Working in various industries. Looking after various accounts for clients, ranging in size.

Cons

Based on an industrial estate, feeling isolated from the get-go. Absolutely no help is given at all. They’ll say training is provided, however, it is all self-taught. You can ask for assistance, but be aware of being made to feel uncomfortable, feeling like a nuisance with the occasional eye roll (you have to keep an eye out for that one, bonus points if you do). Doing the same job as the (senior) marketing executive, but paid significantly differently. You'll be promised a pay rise, which in turn will turn out to be false. I've witnessed this happen to my colleagues and also myself. If you are hired on a temporary basis (probation), be wary that you will be last on the list of things to do and priorities for the business, which is a bit of a slap in the face in terms of personal development, since they will employ you at the start talking about how they will look after you, support and guide you, with the potential to grow further in the company. At the end of your 'probationary period', it will inevitably be extended on numerous random reasons, for one, you'll be told that you have not completed tasks to their satisfaction, when in fact, you have had no point of guidance/help/advice or made to feel you cannot ask for assistance, with the threat of getting the cold shoulder and thus, made to work in an awkward environment. Really quite comical. They extend your probationary period based on whatever emotion they have plucked out that day, without any solid justification. They'll extend your probation so that they do not have to issue you with an immediate contract in the sense that as a business, they will aim to reduce their liabilities in any way possible (for as long as they can) Any constructive criticism you may have to create a better working environment, which will essentially benefit your team and senior management - will flat out be rejected and met with hostility, with a tyrant like behaviour.

Pros

Absolutely NONE. Nothing. Nada!

Cons

Having worked for Creative Pod for over a year I can vouch that this is one of the most unprofessional and suffocating work environments i have ever experienced. Everything that is wrong with this company stems from it’s two directors who are negligent, unethical and quite simply incompetent at running a marketing and design agency. Creative Pod’s appalling treatment of their staff spanned across a number of issues. A ceaseless trail of bullying was experienced by myself and many others. I experienced consistent intimidating behaviour from both directors and saw relentless misuse or their power used to humiliate, undermine and manipulate all of their staff (including myself). The culture of the office is met with casual racism and homophobia, sadly led by family members of the directors, leaving staff with nowhere to go as there is no HR department in place for any formal complaints. The lack of HR is a huge problem especially when it comes to pay. A trending habit seemed to be that directors would offer a higher salary and upon job arrival it would be lowered. Meeting’s were manipulated to have us consistently believe our pay was soon to go up if we took on extra responsibility, which would never come to fruition, despite the added job load. There is absolutely no training given, you are left to your own devices, yet expected to be gifted at anything they throw at you no matter how far out of your job role it falls. The directors themselves have no advice to give because they genuinely have no idea how to run a business, let alone support their employees. Working for Creative Pod is like being a cog in a broken down machine, that never gets oiled and is expected to turn at 100mph. Even our clients were leaving left, right and centre at the hands of the directors. Above all their is no room for personal growth here whatsoever and if anything you leave with your confidence trampled on and worse off than when you arrived. Following my leaving, a further 10 people left within the year leaving only 3 employees behind. The harassment, negliegence and complete disregard for employees wellbeing that was shown in my time here is nothing like I have ever seen before. PROs: I had an excellent team of people who showed great support to each other and ferocious passion for giving all clients what they were promised. (Even if it was beyond the realms of our ability.) There’s also a kettle and microwave for lunchtime. But even they are a joke! Oh and don't ask the directors or their family members to make you a brew, you don't know what will end up in it.

Pros

Some colleagues are very friendly, which is a major plus! Working a mixture of different industries

Cons

Too small working area. Not a great location for the office. Unsure about the management style and sometimes the atmosphere of the working environment.
