If you aren't sending emails until 3am - are you actually working?

Pros

Some of the people you get to work with are very hard workers and are willing to help you if they can find the time.

Cons

If you aren't working as hard as the hardest worker who works until 3am you're not working at all. If you keep your head down and do your job you're doing something wrong. If work comes in at 4pm on a Friday that stacks up on whatever else you have on your plate you better plan on working all weekend because the client expectation is to have a 24 hour turn around. The employee contract states 24 hour customer service meaning you could get an email at any given time and be expected to return a response within 4 hours or less. If you're not worshiping Princess Meg you're most likely going to be found "not doing your job" but no details will be discussed on how you're not doing your job. If you want a pay raise you better work until 3am and kiss a lot of tail. Bonuses come in the form of "stars" and you might get $5-10 a month in a bonus if you work a lot of extra hours. Meetings with mid and upper level management are awkward because they are rarely on the same page and end up arguing. If you're not arguing and complaining to mid level management about your clients then what are you actually doing? You'll be degraded on your abilities regularly because mid level management gets that treatment from upper level management. Zero work life balance. If you don't have proof that you worked till 3 am you probably weren't working...IE: copy in management when you send emails at 3am so they know. Easily one of the worst places I've worked.

Avoid if you value professionalism

Pros

Remote work, if you're the sort who does well with that.

Cons

Management considers employees disposable, and will fire or lay off employees with no warning. Development is chaotic and disorganized with no discernable process.

Pros

Working from home is a given since the company has no physical HQ

Cons

Pay and benefits are really bad by industry standards Most of the codebase is abysmal Company morale is perennially down Project deadlines are almost always unrealistic Very little appreciation/incentive for putting in extra effort No real career opportunities other than experience Work life balance is the butt of a bad joke here
