    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Conversion Digital full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The team and leadership couldn’t be any better. They know their stuff and have created a friendly and open environment. The clients love Conversion and there’s no turnover - period.

    Cons

I can’t see anything at this point that needs improvement.

I worked at Conversion Digital full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    ◦ Extremely friendly co-workers ◦ Great location and beautiful office space

    Cons

    ◦ Salaries way below market ◦ Essentially no benefits or healthcare ◦ Expectation of unpaid overtime ◦ Chaotic work environment ◦ Process is touted as Agile but frequently reverts to Waterfall ◦ Rampant nepotism ◦ Company policy doesn't apply to relatives and "family friends" ◦ Ambiguous hierarchy ◦ Company org is extremely top heavy and tangled ◦ No transparency ◦ HR is non-existent ◦ Exceptionally high turnover

    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at Conversion Digital full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - Friendly co-workers - Dog friendly office - Location

    Cons

    - Low Pay - Bare-minimum benefits - Late nights with unpaid overtime - Very stressful environment - Company is not completely transparent with information - No room for growth - No HR - Management and account managers treat staff like children - Very high staff turnover - Promotions are generally based on someone being liked rather than being a top performer - No training plans in place for new employees - Company policies do not apply to everyone

I worked at Conversion Digital full-time

    Pros

    - Central location (Queen-Spadina) - Flexible hours - Big clients - Growing company - Company pays for Salesforce training

    Cons

    - Below-market salaries - Deadlines can be unrealistically short - No code repository/version control system, making collaboration difficult and risky: Devs store work locally, and email files to one another - Non-devs are allowed/expected to edit code. This riskiness is compounded by reusing buggy client HTML, and editing right in Salesforce (or other browser-based CMS)... exacerbating the version-control issue, and creating emergency overhaul jobs for the dev team

I worked at Conversion Digital full-time

    Pros

Work to life balance is better then some, but definitely not the best.

    Cons

The compensation is under market value with minimal employee benefits. Conversion claims to be a small business but that just translates to the worst of both worlds, low pay and no formal upper management which doesn't work for a company that's growing quickly. With the lack of upper management, all decisions are either made by C-Suite (who are too detached) or Account Managers (who are too close) on internal issues. Work is given informally with short deadlines (ASAP) and no list of deliverables or briefs. There is no formal process to make complaints and voice your concerns as an employee.
