      A Good Fit For the Right Type of Person

      Pros

      Employees at Competitive Engineering are valued and the health and vacation benefits are generous. Management is competent, knowledgeable and approachable. The atmosphere is fairly relaxed.

      Cons

      Communication can be lacking at times which can lead to misunderstandings. Responsibility is sometimes unclear and roles are loosely defined.

      Helpful co workers, and management will always take the time to answer your questions or find someone to help you. That makes all the difference when you're new to the industry and worried about making mistakes.

      Cons

      Very strict on some things like no talking in the shop.

      Learn new skills, Good vacation hours, Good 401k, occasion meals provided by company. Cool coworkers (not all)

      Cons

      Low pay for high standards, , High turnover for employees, Training sucks, must conform quickly with little experience. Pay is not competitive with other shops. They have their core group of machinists, operators are disposable.
