I have been working at Combined Insurance full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

This company provides superior training and ongoing support. Their commission structure is very generous. They pay to train you. I have had clients claim and the process was simple. This company pays on it's claims! The company has undergone major changes in the last two years. Same great products, but updated marketing.

    Cons

If you want a paycheque for doing nothing, don't go into sales!

    Advice to Management

Management is awesome! Best people I've ever worked with.

I worked at Combined Insurance full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Lots of opportunity to learn and grow your career
Working on delivering latest technology solutions
CEO and CIO are both great visionaries and leaders

    Cons

There is constant change in the environment and you have to be prepared to adopt and operate in such an environment. There is some apparent politics and sometimes even turf wars taking place at executive layers.

I have been working at Combined Insurance full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Pays every time, I've seen and heard so many stories of people getting paid from just a stitch and even worse. Love the support I get. If need proof we got it.

    Cons

Wish I had more reps in my town to work with.

    Pros

You're self employed Wich let's you get tax bonuses. Need to make enough for this yup be with while though.

    Cons

Being self employed is not for everyone

    Advice to Management

Move structure of earnings to base + commission. Larger sales force will over all improve earnings across the board.

I have been working at Combined Insurance full-time

    Pros

IF they decide to they can give you leads.

    Cons

Way too many to name. Leaders are really unprofessional in my opinion. They will tell you they pay you for training. Once you are in they find a reason not to pay you. It's long hours and a lot of travel. If you have a problem you can't complain. Complaints are seen as negative behavior. Don't disclose a disability either.

    Advice to Management

    I don't have any.

    Pros

I have had excellent service from this company having made claims for various family injuries over the years from major stitches to a broken nose. You can fill out the paperwork online and receive compensation within 30 days. No medical tests, no exemptions. They are the real deal and a pleasure to do business with.

    Cons

    none i can think of

I worked at Combined Insurance full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They pay for training but only tell you the product that your selling after you've signed the contract.
Can make good money if you push their product apparently

    Cons

    System and technique is ancient
    No organization at all
    Sloppy and lazy "sales leaders"
Disorganized (yes I said it again)
They entice you to get you to sign a contract and then change things as they go along.

    Advice to Management

Lose the stupid cheers and jokes, people catch onto a system that hasn't changed for 80 years. If your not moving forward your falling behind, and your waaaaay behind.

And look into some quality and consistency control between all teams just because someone sells a lot doesn't make them a good "sales leader" in fact it probably means the opposite.

I worked at Combined Insurance part-time

    Pros

The managers are coworkers are always to help you acheive your objectives. They also provide you with a list of clients to get the ball rolling

    Cons

You have to follow their training program which last one month. It is basically to help you past the amf exam. However the amoint of time spent to study for the examenation is to long for the diffculty of it

    Advice to Management

It would be nice to provide alternatives to new candidates to skip the training program, more particularly the courses related to the amf test
