Management picks and chooses who deserves help in the classroom based on who they like, the facility itself was extremely overstimulating- no closed ceilings and windows for walls, and I found myself somehow involved in workplace gossip and drama repeatedly.
I love working here. There is great communication and support from management and staff at my location. (I have heard this varies depending on the location though.) A lot of the staff genuinely do care and love the kids a lot and get along with one another.
Cons
Lead teachers have a lot of responsibility like lesson planning, creating newsletters, field trip planning, parent teacher conferences, etc. but honestly it can be split up among teachers I guess.
Also, it is a bit tough trying to get a decent raise even after you’ve worked here a while.
