      Pros

      Huge and very stable oil and gas company with strong financial discipline and a clear focus on growth and cost efficiency. It is a great place to start or grow a career in oil and gas because the company is involved in many areas of the industry, which creates many internal opportunities. There are many highly skilled technical people, experienced leaders, and strong learning opportunities. The stock savings plan is excellent, with a 1.5x company match up to 10% of pay, plus good stock options and health benefits.

      Cons

      Base salary can be slightly lower than some other companies in the sector, although the savings plan helps compensate for it. The environment is very fast-paced and often feels understaffed, with a constant sense of urgency. Workload can be high, and work-life balance may be challenging, especially if coming from a more relaxed company. Decision-making can involve too many approval layers, creating bureaucracy. There is also zero flexibility for remote work.
