    I cannot think of anything good to say about this company.

    Cons

    Branch In-flighting. Poor leadership. Incompetent Managers. Worst Experience EVER. Company is trying to change, but this does not filter to branches that want to the same old. They have little knowledge how the retail/consumer packaged goods industry works, but think they do. Computer system is archaic!! Expected to work 'whenever' customer wants. i.e. evenings/weekends.     Canada is sinking fast....fix it Need better managers! - not former bakers. Maybe some with more than a GED and that can speak grammatically correct!

    I worked at CSM Bakery Solutions full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    No Pros, very poorly managed company

    Cons

    They always made a hassle out of time off, they let go of staff without reason (hence the 75% turn over rate), hard workers were worked to tears and people who didn't have a clue as to what they were doing were promoted to supervisor and then let the power go to their heads. Always undermined and always made to feel like a pile of garbage because the 2 foot tall pile of preorders weren't inputted immediately.

    Advice to Management

    Treat your staff like gold and stop promoting people into positions that they don't deserve.

    People are nice, compensation comparable, not too long hours

    Cons

    lots of ambiguity within the firm. Not certain about the future. Benefits are mediocre. Tucker office outdated. Technology not the best. High turnover. Not a long term company to be with.

    Good pay, great colleagues to work with, flexibility with telecommuting, good work/life balance

    Cons

    Unstable work environment for the past three years (frequent layoffs), weak Sales team. I am hoping that this company will be able to turn itself around and become more successful in the future.

    Advice to Management

    Sales team needs to be completely revamped or retrained. Better communication needed between Sales team and customers. A company that is having financial problems needs to focus on quality of existing products and develop a better and stronger portfolio versus spending too much time and money on new product innovation that may or may not be commercially or technically feasible long term.     Nice people, good atmosphere, interesting products and some successful pockets of business.

    Cons

    Frequent changes in direction - local to European to Global and then back again. Terrible senior leadership mostly from people who don't understand the products or the industry and keep changing their minds about what they want CSM to be.     None that I know of.

    Cons

    All of the good reviews are posted by contractors and freelancers they hired to bring the rating up. I know this first hand. If you ask them about the bad reviews during interview, they will tell you those are reviewed by "unhappy plant workers" not from the offices. Most of the bad reviews came from the office employees. Don't believe their lies.
