Pros

-Excellent company for junior engineers and learning opportunities -Top tier projects -Good life balance -Good coffee machine -European culture and nice colleagues

Cons

-Parent Danish company COWI is struggling to establish in North America -Too many old generation engineers, who some of them are out of mind.. -Management issues, Annually %20 of payroll are fired and hired. You should be careful not to be targeted. -if you are senior and on a good job, don't try it. Permanent contract doesn't mean anything.

Pros

Great for young engineers to start career, as there are many opportunities to work on signature bridge projects around the US and Canada, as well as potentially around the world. B&T (now COWI North America) is a sister company to COWI in Denmark, which has many other sister companies. You might get a chance to work in the UK or Denmark if you are the lucky few that show interest and get selected when work is slow here or needed for a project there. Lots of work sharing between offices. Opportunity to develop and connect with people in offices around the world. Great benefits. Upper management adapts well to employee surveys. Flexible work hours. Transparent.

Cons

Lays off good employees, which affects employee morale. Somewhat chaotic management at times. Work can get monotonous for some engineers, so you should have a clear career path/goal and request type of work you want to work on. Yes men/women are highly appreciated by them, but are often the ones left behind if you don't have a good Head of Section/Group Lead.
