      Pros

Most coworkers are equally miserable so easy to get along with

      Cons

Low pay (only took a job here cause I wasn’t working at the time) Incompetent management deeply entrenched who don’t have much vested interest in doing anything other than protecting their own fiefdoms Benefits are abysmal Preys on new college grads who know nothing for entry level jobs

      Pros

      Easy job with minimal accountability

      Cons

-Company pays peanuts, both salary and benefits aren't much more than the bare minimum. -Upper management is structured to benefit 3-4 people at the top and nobody else -There is no corporate culture, despite having 30 offices worldwide nobody knows anything going on outside of their neck of the woods -Product development is slow and there is no transparency with how decisions are made -There is zero work/life balance- working from home is viewed as negative and barely possible if not for a few people. -Company is behind the times technologically and has no appetite to spend to fix it. Look at their website or news portal if you need a clue. -CEO has provided no strategic direction that anyone is clear on beyond his yes men around him -Many offices don't even have meeting rooms, New York has like one and that's the head office! -Performance reviews are basically non-existent and happen sporadically. Salary reviews and bonuses are rare and do not follow any prescribed review period.

      Pros

Global corporation with a global reputation - opportunities to work with individuals across the globe.

      Cons

Not a ton of responsibility, work occasionally monotonous, low pay, rigid shifts.

      Pros

It's very stable, not micro-managed, expections are clear and achievable.

      Cons

Company structure is very flat, with little room for growth. Dated industry and slow to make changes.

      Truly a horrible place

      Aug 24, 2021 - Newsroom Editor

      Pros

They provide insurance, which is basically a given for any full time job

      Cons

This company is truly terrible, I wish I could give it negative stars honestly. If you’re interviewing for an editor job, run. Seriously. Ghost this company because it’s not worth your self worth. Don’t let the 3 star rating fool you, it’s so obvious (and typical of sketchy BW) that it’s all the management and HR people writing positive reviews to up the score. Business wire will work you into the ground, never thank you for it, and push you to work harder until you have nothing left. You will always be understaffed because everyone runs away. They’ll demote you without warning (literally did this four months ago, demoted half of their employees). They will pay you below what the market offers for this type of position, when they should pay way more due to the high stress situations. You will have ten minutes deadlines and they allow clients to call the newsroom and scream and insult their editors. Then they’ll comp their services to keep that client. I’ve been called the b word, f word, and Manu more angry clients on a regular basis. This company will never stand up for you and will blame you, even when it’s the clients fault. I could go on and on about how horrible working at this company is.

      It's a job

      Pros

Great team of smart and friendly coworkers. Work life balance is great. You're expected to leave on time and not show up early. Leave work at work.

      Cons

The work is not mentally challenging in the slightest. If you like repetition, this is a good place for you. There's little room for career advancement. Lots of lateral movement but not much upwards.

      Pros

Low Expectations & Low Ownership Responsibility. Many Work 10+ years there. Management prefers staff to do less w/ zero mistakes. AKA a person who does 1 task w/out a mistake during 8hrs and reads a book most of the day is viewed favorably vs the person who does 80 tasks in a day and makes a minor typo in an email. ie Your vs You're

      Cons

Low/No Advancement Opportunities. Many feel trapped. Blame for minor errors often used to justify no/low raises. Mental Psych Breaks by staff overlooked or ignored by HR & Management. The classic failed logic of "It takes two..." often followed by mid/upper management. But, if you complain about the bathroom, they love sending out emails to all staff regarding etiquette and suggested TP usage guidance.
