Super toxic and poorly run

Pros

Remote work, although they are changing that with hiring new people only in cities there’s an office

Cons

Be Heard Survey to gauge employee well being is just a way for senior leadership to use it against you. Workload is terrible, burnout is real but if you complain, you’re the problem Senior leadership is an inner circle of self important people giving each other promotions and not caring about employees who actually keep the business running Toxic work environment. You’ll be asked to lie on your timesheets and then lie on the Be Heard surveys to ensure management is happy

No culture

Pros

Good pay for Toronto ad agency standards Fully remote

Cons

Too many to count. Leadership is not experienced enough to be managing people. Very camp counselor vibes. Fully remote means there's no culture. Period. They say it's the most important thing to the company, but without real people interacting in real life, culture is non existent. There's only so many slack channels and town halls you can do to generate hype. Company is actually not doing as well as they seem. They have a shiny website and nice logo/branding. But their clients are holding on by a thread. Their top two NAMER clients are not that big. We are in a recession, clients are leaving one by one. It's a matter of time before a big fish flops and this agency goes under. Most people that work here are mediocre at best. If you're a high achiever, did well in school and life, and excel wherever you go, you won't find your people here. Most people here are coasting for the paycheck. Can't blame them. But this job showed me money can't buy everything lol

Pros

innovative, good adopter of new tehcnology e.g. use of ai as a tool instead of a replacement opportunity. lots of career and growth opportuities

Cons

the culture is changing and becoming very bottom-line oriented. private ownership has ruined salary opportunities and there's more pressure on middle management every day
