Poor Leadership and High Turnover in Planning Department
Pros
Flexible working hour. Good and supportive colleagues.
Cons
Poor leadership within the Planning department. Manager provides very little guidance, support, or backup, while pushing most responsibilities to the team. Work-life balance is a major issue. Employees are often contacted outside working hours, including during annual leave, medical leave, and maternity leave. It is difficult to fully disconnect from work. The management style is stressful and very traditional. Employees are expected to follow instructions without question, even when processes are clearly inefficient. Staff can be scolded publicly or blamed for issues beyond their control. Treatment is not always consistent across team members, and some employees feel pushed to resign rather than being supported to improve. Turnover in this department is much higher than what candidates may expect. During the hiring process, we were told that overall company turnover is low, but this does not reflect the situation in this specific department. Candidates should ask direct questions about turnover within the team they are joining.
