Pros

Met some good people there

Cons

Company was 100% geared towards utilization. No regard for career or employee skill set. I was placed on projects completely outside of my expertise and outside of what skills I was hoping to acquire.

Pros

In Toronto: Great collegiality. Smart people, many with years of quality experience who made good mentors. Ability to apply creative solutions and not the cookie-cutter approach that some companies apply. Significant independence and good teamwork. Leadership in Toronto was good.

Cons

There was a mass exodus to KPMG, so many of the pros have dissapated. BearingPoint has now been sold to Deloitte and I assume in Toronto, the office will take on a Deloitte culture. Leadership in the US was the main reason colleagues stated for leaving and there was a bit of a vacuum in the last year that was filled by consultants commuting to Canada from the US. There were numerousyears of promotions without bonuses or excellent performance reviews with little or no bonus or salary increase which led to alot of resentment for much of the staff.
