Clear recruitment process, great team, people-oriented and supportive management. The company also organizes engaging events, such as internal hackathons and volunteering initiatives like nature clean-up activities.

Pros

Honest, professional, welcoming people. Great atmosphere during the recruitment process and the onboarding both. Many hidden benefits I wasn't aware of before starting the work. Best environment for software engineering I've ever experienced in my 10+ years career.

Cons

The recruitment process is long. It's great as per the number of stages (I love how much energy Appfire spends to pick the right candidates - I felt utterly tested in every field that matters in my job.) It could be shorter as per the time itself - making the decisions between the stages faster would improve it significantly.

Over the past year, the company has navigated some significant challenges, which were understandably difficult at times. However, the path forward has been positive, with noticeable improvements in communication, collaboration, and overall alignment across the organization. Several initiatives have helped create greater transparency and connection to the company's goals. The introduction of company-wide OKRs has made it much clearer how individual and team contributions connect to broader business objectives. The executive team is transparent, approachable, and open to feedback. Leadership encourages employees to be curious, experiment, and bring forward new ideas. If you see an opportunity for improvement, you're empowered to take ownership and run with it. The remote-first culture provides the opportunity to work with talented people from diverse backgrounds and perspectives around the world. There is a high degree of autonomy and trust, with leaders who focus on outcomes rather than micromanagement. The work is interesting, challenging, and provides opportunities for growth and impact.

Cons

Priorities can sometimes shift quickly as new information emerges and decisions are made. Continued focus on communicating the rationale behind changes and reinforcing the "why" would help employees continue to understand and navigate these shifts.
