Pros

Everyone will leave you are when you are working. Benefits are standard.

Cons

Micro mangers. To many chiefs. Your only incentive to work more or harder is to not get in trouble. Your job will get picked apart by extremely anal retentive managers and you will be asked to do one thing by one manager and another thing by another manager. You will be reprimanded by one of the managers in that instance. The mangers will lay off and not bug you again until about the exact same time the next year almost like clock work. They get a sick sense of power by doing this from time to time. This same type of thing has happened to every(every) lower person at the company except for the office workers. So when I say run as fast as you can from this company I can't over emphasize this statement in the least.

Pros

Great place to get engineering experience. Many opportunity to work on lots of different projects, different aspects of engineering, different locations. Meet and work with contractors, engineers, architects. Flexibility in work hours for some employees. Employee owned so they aren't caught up in the almighty share price. And they still make money and have been growing steadily. Good investment in equipment.

Cons

Very little communication within my department as far as work load management or department goals. Minimal training - you are expected to find your way on your own. Some Administrative Assistants are rude and unhelpful. Lots of hours required during the construction season to keep up with the work load. We are losing the young engineers due mostly to low pay.

Pros

Learn a lot of construction stuff on site, lots of down time on sites, lots of overtime available.

Cons

Bad company culture, no engineering tasks, manual labor position, odd hours of day, no appreciation from management, nothing to do in the winters, extremely underpaid. If you are a girl, you will not enjoy the environment at all.
