Pros

-Company Outings -Location -Plenty of Drama (if you're into that sort of thing)

Cons

Where to begin. The weekly free lunches went to Monthly in hopes of creating a more "connected" atmosphere with the employees. However this hasn't seemed to work and more than likely it was a cost cutting measure. The company is a mess. While upper management claims they care little to no interest has been shown. It's a very egotistical environment where if you're not chums with someone in upper management good luck moving ahead. Within the past several months we've lost a lot of key people within the company who decided to go else where. The workload is unrealistic and the disconnect between departments is huge. The company still has a "start up mentality" only in the form of paying its employees. Pay is well below the market rate of other similar companies. The expansion of the company into three other world wide markets has essentially failed as there is no accountability for anyone outside of the main Toronto office. Interns and new employees are brought on with false information and quickly become burned out. The negativity from the Sales department is toxic and affects other departments. The CEO has very little knowledge to the day to day workings of his company. the COO never follows up with anything or anyone. So upper management has people or they themselves write positive reviews here. don't believe the hype. I will be quitting very soon.

Pros

Big open space and cool looking offices. Offices located in a cool neighbourhood. Most of the junior staff still try and are incredibly smart. There are regular employee events and the occasional industry event to attend. Gets to work with companies trending in tech news. There's free snacks around the office.

Cons

Upper management is very shady. There's a lot of manipulation and misleading that happens. Often by a very incompetent ceo and a group of yes men for VPs. Company culture is killed by a heavy handed management process and brushing off ideas outside their circle. Company culture here is having a token "employee" event every few months to compensate for abysmal treatment rest of the time. Leaders in technology and sales are respectively incompetent, don't care and happen to be the most egoistical I've come to meet. They drive people out of the company. This company is bleeding from the inside. Moving up in this company company is a cleverly created illusion. Almost all roles are meaningless and handed off to yes men. There's little direction and almost no value for innovation beyond short term profits.

Pros

- great location, open office which promotes communication - snacks and monthly lunches - young, smart, funny (!) coworkers - not too big, not too small

Cons

- open concept means it gets loud, but that's what good headphones are for - when it gets busy, it gets VERY busy
