Thank you for your review of Access Development on Glassdoor and for providing the feedback about the owner being a visionary. It's evident that as we approach our 40 year celebration that their dedication and vision have been instrumental in driving the company forward. However, it's concerning to hear about the long hours. While a strong work ethic is valuable, maintaining a healthy work-life balance is crucial for both productivity and well-being and will look at strategies to help our teams find the appropriate balance for their overall well-being.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and experiences regarding the work environment. Your feedback is valuable in understanding the strengths and areas for impvoement within the company. It's great to hear that you appreciate the autonomy provided for work, as it can significantly contribute to individual productivity and creativity. However, it's concerning to hear about the potential toxicity and bias present in the environment as that can hinder collaboration, well-being, and overall employee satisfaction. We strive to recognize and value diversity in all its forms, whether it's in terms of background, perspectives, or ideas and understand it is key to unlocking a company's full potential and have implemented strategies that promot inclusion and contribute to a more harmonious work place culture. Thank you for sharing your feedback to help us continuously improve and create a better work environment for everyone.

Pros

Excellent work-life balance and you work with top-notch people who are skilled, energetic and motivated. The culture does not usually permit slackers, so those types of people are usually identified and removed. That means everyone's workload is fair. I like the collaborative nature of this culture, and that people are willing to be accountable for their projects. Because we work with generally honest, decent and down-to-earth people, risk taking is encouraged, and the occasional failures are met with an analytical eye toward improvement and not punishment. I think the best part about Access, is that the focus is on doing your work in the time your at work. I don't take work home. I don't stay late. I'm not made to feel guilty for leaving at quitting time. I really enjoy my co-workers, and working at Access. It also important to note that Access has no debt, and is in great financial shape. They do not accept offers for VC money, so the direction of the company is not influenced by outside forces. Access has such a unqiue business model, and its services are unlike any in the industry. In fact the barriers to entry into this space are so high, huge, well-known tech companies and tried and failed to duplicate the Access discount network. Access has simply built the business on 30 years of trusting relationships with national and local retailers, and it's simply not cost effective for the competition to build and duplicate a network like that of Access..

Cons

Access is a little behind technologically because of a lack of funds to invest in R&D. Nepotism is a concern, as well as the power structure resembles an "old-boys network" that seems to pick winners and losers at times. Frankly, its something all companies face, and Access is no different.
