Pros

People (staff) seem to be nice and caring to each other.

Cons

Management is very indecisive. It takes forever to reach a decision just to be changed later. New leadership team is a joke. New CFO is narcissistic, does not care about employees. Not a true leader. Not really smart. Just all talk. The rest of the leadership team seems to be manipulated by the new CFO.

Pros

Stable company founded in 1906 .

Cons

Horrible culture. No real leadership Inept management high turnover, high anxiety. Management offers no guidance and assumes that they understand highly technical systems that are out of their depth to an embarrassing degree. i.e. finance department managing technology department. Very unpleasant experience and most employees on edge due to fear/threat based leadership style of the CFO. Lots of in-fighting and dishonesty. I was recruited from a company that was stable and familiar and accepted the offer because of the excellent compensation but once on board flaws quickly became apparent and protocols and procedures were non-existent. Access for data bases and systems were given to non-paid friends of CFO for troubleshooting because "my friend is good with computers and can probably help with the issue" systems would be altered with no audit trail and the problems that followed would be left to employees to correct. Very unprofessional environment that was incentivised by threats and fear. CFO mantra was that she needed "one throat to choke" if any issues arose. I would advise any supporting proffessionals i.e. non-architect/designers to proceed with caution. No respect for employees and exessive micro management.

Pros

Nice atmosphere - office is nice design. My boss was cool to work for but it was short lived. There are some cool people who work here that are extremely talented and friendly. That is the minority unfortunately. Projects are interesting.

Cons

The particular studio that I worked for consisted of the meanest people who were passive aggressive individuals that I have ever worked for. The PM that I worked for had zero communication skills, no people skills, never responded to my questions via email or in person. He was hands down the worst architect to work under. I tried to express my concerns with my boss but he basically ignored me and told me to try and speak to the PM. How is that possible when he doesn't even correspond through email and he was never at his desk. I was forced out of the company as a result. My peers were also very negative about the workplace, if thats the case, seek other employment. They were passive aggressive, no people skills, always complaining about the company, had no teamwork skills. The person that I worked with was a mean person and a back stabber and a douche bag. Didn't even help me when I asked. This is hands down the WORST FIRM that I have ever worked at. My advice, cover your butt because they are ruthless people who work here. With that said, I have said my peace. I just hope that if you work there you have a better idea of how the culture of the place is. Very poor morale and bitter employees. Alot of gossip and caddy people here- I guess they have nothing better to do. Chris Martin didn't even know who I was, none of the upper management tried to introduce themselves.
