Pros

IF you want to travel this is for you.

Cons

See pro's.....most people do not want to travel 70% of the time though if you will not travel you will not get your hours. The owners attempts to compensate for his little man syndrome by showing everyone how much money he has (See his F650 truck). His attitude which has spread to management is to attempt to destroy individuals who do not see things his way. He will have you scrub a brick wall with a wire brush should you get hurt on the job just to keep you off a OSHA 300 Log and when that does not work out for him he will put you in the office and have you cold call. Who cold calls in 2016 in this industry? There is absolutely NO work in Phoenix, the Superintendent has his head up the owners butt and classifies his farts by the Richter Scale. Though this company claims to be "family first", the only family they are speaking about is the owner and his boys. Stay away, the pay is low, the quality is lacking and advancement is NON existent. This company will forge test results for customers....for example, if a cable is over length they will have you test a cable within standards to cover it up instead of installing a new IDF in place.

Churn & burn

Pros

If you like being burnt out, this is the company for you! I've never seen a company put every member of their office staff on salary and requiring them to work over 40 hours a week. The company is growing, but management is not competent enough to manage the growth.

Cons

Where to start? Having young management is the number one problem. However, when the company cannot obtain seasoned employees because of the work environment, there is only one other place to turn. There are no training programs for employees in the office environment and processes and procedures are everywhere across the board. Management also makes the company look better than what they know to be true by requiring employees to fill out positive reviews online. Turnaround is higher than at a non-profit organization.

Pros

There are few to speak of. If you desire travel, there is plenty of it. There are some unique projects with some interesting clients and locales, but virtually nothing within the state of AZ. Management is engaged in growing the company enough to have initiated a social media campaign targeted towards boosting their online positive approval ratings. See the Rating Trends under the ABcom Reviews section and note the upswing in positive reviews after May/June 2014. A couple of non performing upper management types have been removed in the past 6 months or so.

Cons

See May and June 2014 reviews for starters. Company values, priorities, initiatives, etc. etc. are constantly ignored or pushed aside for profit. No training or project support provided to anyone in the field or in the office. No leadership or management that provides any oversight or meaningful direction. High turnover rate in both the field including techs and foremen, as well as, the office including project managers, estimators, sales, and management. Quality and safety take a back seat to tight time frames and overzealous promises. No existing HR department.
