Pros

free stuff relaxed dress code opportunity to meet influencers

Cons

- zero guidance, no on boarding process - no sense of teamwork or community, everyone is throwing everyone under the bus for their own gain - constantly moved on and off accounts, no sense of stability - junior staff does 90% of the work while the senior staff paint their nails at their desk - culture is like a catty sorority where everyone is judged based on looks and money - career advancement is not based on skill/ability but good looks and how rich you are - CEO is image-obsessed and rude - rules like: you have to wear lip gloss in meetings

Pros

Free beauty products, made some good friends, cool office / location, good to have on resume. I learned a lot in this position about what I don't want in a company.

Cons

Poor pay, passive aggression, lack of care for employers, terrible onboarding (especially for a first job) The lifestyle team tends to have a better experience at the company and generally has better people leading the teams. The beauty teams are hit or miss, if you have a good mentor guiding you, the experience will be better. There are definitely some mean girl higher ups in this company and if they decide they do not like you (for whatever reason), you will be let go regardless of your work performance. Their approach to onboarding is to push you off the deep end and see if you sink or swim. Prepare to have thick skin because they warn you that 'you will cry in your first 3 months' and for some reason they think that's normal for a work place. I've heard it's mellowed out since the pandemic with work from home but I still wouldn't recommend it to anyone I know. Also I failed to mention there is NO diversity - at all. The few people of color I have known to work here have left because they felt uncomfortable.
