      There were no pros at this company.

      Cons

      This place has terrible executive management and leadership. There have been various claims of claims and sexist behavior as well as sexual harassment at AACAP over the years. Every white male who has been accused of such behavior is still employed there which disappointing for an organization that promotes healthy development and mental health.

      Decent Entry Level Job but Scarce Career Growth Opportunities

      Pros

      This is an excellent job if you are a Director and are looking for a job that provides flexible work hours/schedule. Holiday and birthday celebrations are a nice perk.

      Cons

      The pay is below average for any DC job, especially since the organization is located in one of the wealthiest areas in DC. There is a severe lack of leadership which reflects on the weird/depressing morale amongst employees. There is also a lot of tension between different departments which truly makes the work environment feel toxic and has led to a large amount of turnover during my time there. Be aware that there have been various harassment claims based on gender, race, and sexuality but appears to be minimum change amongst the Executive Board. There is also very little room for career growth, don't spend a lot of time here trying to elevate your professional career goals.

      The membership is excellent, some of the colleagues are good to work with.
