Lack of clear strategy and direction

Pros

Exceptional team of employees. Flexible working. Fairly decent benefits.

Cons

The CEO is inert in her ability to provide direction or establish a cohesive strategy. Products are continually being developed but the pressing query remains: where are the customers for all these products? What once used to be a great place to work has mutated into something entirely different.

Good people. but company lacks direction

Pros

Great people and atmosphere (pre-covid), the coffee machine was excellent, middle management is good (speaking in terms of my own line manager), some fun tech to play with and good partnerships with some third party software

Cons

Pay isn't great. Average for the area is definitely higher. The company has no real direction. Upper management seems to keep changing their minds on what the focus should be - Too many custom solutions despite a constant push for SaaS, and they've definitely cashed in during the pandemic to do away with bonuses and freeze raises, yet I'm pretty sure the upper management still received some nice bonuses (right before lockdown the high-ups had a "sales kickoff" which basically included a huge party with an open bar - I don't recall being invited to that.

Money goes to Shareholders and CEO, not employees!

Pros

Good people to work with except management, but most have left now and those still working are over-loaded and not given adequate information to do their jobs efficiently.

Cons

Lower than average salaries because more concerned with making money for the shareholders and CEOs. All about the sale of the software and forget about the customer once it's purchased! Management asks for feedback and does nothing with it.
