Description Worldspan operates one of the world's largest computerized reservation systems, with a network of about 11,000 affiliated travel agencies spanning 60 countries. It provides reservation services for airlines, hotel chains, rental car companies, trains, ferries, and cruises. Its Worldspan Go! service allows access to travel databases via the Internet, fax, or e-mail, and its iTV service offers travel planning via cable or satellite TV. Worldspan also offers products for managing business travel. In August 2007, the company was acquired for $1.4 billion by Travelport, an emerging leader in the travel services industry. Worldpan now operates as part of Travelport's GDS segment.
