It also supplies home haircutting kits, hair dryers, and other small electric appliances for consumers and hotels. Andis operates offices in the US and the UK, and sells its products worldwide. The company got its start in 1921 when Mathew Andis Sr. invented a self-contained electric clipper. Today Andis is in its fourth generation of family leadership.
