Your Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain software for Windows-based communications and call management systems
- Troubleshoot complex system issues by analyzing logs, configurations, and call processing behaviour
- Develop new features and enhancements using C++
- Contribute to call processing functionality utilizing VoIP and SIP protocols within high-availability environments
- Participate in software design, coding, testing, debugging, integration, and documentation activities using Agile methodologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional team members, provide technical input, and take ownership of assigned development initiatives
- Manage source code, track work items, and support continuous improvement through Git and Jira
Skills and Qualifications
- A minimum of 5+ years of progressive software development experience
- Strong experience developing applications in C++ within Windows environments
- Experience working with high-availability, real-time, or event-driven systems
- University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
- Hands-on experience with VoIP technologies and SIP protocol troubleshooting and development
- Solid understanding of object-oriented design, client-server architecture, and web services
- Experience with socket programming
- Experience with .NET, C#, Git, and Agile development practices
- Experience with call processing, telecommunications systems, NENA standards, GIS applications, cloud-native technologies, or socket programming is considered an asset
