Informal chats with various staff members before informal interview with CEO
Everything went well and after a couple of interviews it seemed like I was going to get an offer.
Then everything changed after I met the CEO and the whole process stalled and the company and CEO ghosted me which was really unprofessional. They could have at least had the courtesy to let me know I wasn't successful.
My impression from meeting the CEO is that he didn't want a strong Head of Product who would challenge his decisions/direction and ultimately this is evident from some of the employee reviews on Glassdoor. In the meantime it seems they have now made the Head of UX as their VP of Product.
