I only had one interview with an recruiter over a video call, which was straightforward and fairly simple. Didn't hear any updates for 2.5 weeks and received a rejection shortly after that.

Question 1
Tell us about yourself and why you're interested in the role?
The interview process was very seamless, and felt that I was properly able to show my expertise and reasons for why I felt like I would be a good fit. A lot of behavioral questions over past experiences.

Question 1
What was one challenge you had to overcome in your past internships and what did this teach you?
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at starpower (New York, NY) in Jan 2021
Interview
Had to go through extensive emails and phone calls just to get the manager's availability, seemed very scattered and disorganized. Finally had the interview and they didn't even have any questions prepared. They spent most of the time texting on their phones completely ignoring me. It was the most pointless interview I have ever attended. When they offered me the job I wondered why they bothered interviewing me at all since it seemed like they were going to make an offer regardless. Waste of time.

Question 1
They really had no questions prepared, so all of the questions were from me. I asked about the job responsibilities in detail, benefits, culture and company goals. They looked at me like they had no idea what I was asking about. I wanted to scream at them "DO you even work here? Why don't you know anything about this company?"
