I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at quip (Brooklyn, NY) in Sep 2019
Interview
I applied online and they reached out to me in a week. The first round was a phone screen. Easy enough. Second round was in-person two hour interview with two product owners. Nice people. I got an assignment to write a test plan and was told there was a second round of interview where they will review this assignment. I was a little annoyed on the fact that I would have to come in a second time. Second round interview was with a couple of devs and a product owner. I was told I wasn't what they were looking for and they will pass on me.
A few weeks later the CTO reaches out to me saying that they had a change in requirements for the job and would like me to come in for yet another in-person interview. Maybe I could have been better but that's not the point of this review. Afterwards, I reached out to the CTO directly and was told the interview was good and the feedback from the nice folks that met me was positive.
After that, I didn't hear anything else. I'm not desperate for a job and I'm not sure I would have taken the job if I got an offer but that's not the point. I understand people can be busy and what not but it's still pretty infuriating when you take off work for 3 days for the same company to go in for interviews and then don't get proper feedback on why you weren't selected.
