The interviews start with a conversation with their outreach personnel or if you know someone internally, one of the company leads. The company leads were extremely standoffish and disinterested, the outreach personnel was the same while being quite robotic. The next round is what they call a "simulation" what it actually is, is a way to get 3 hours of free advice from qualified professionals without any compensation or commitment. The interview questions themselves and especially the discussion with Maggie were very focused on whether they felt you were PoC enough. This was incredibly disappointing given the the company helps immigrants and thus I was expecting that to be a focus but it felt more like a performative exercise in trying to find the most PoC person to hire. They claim to do behavioral interview based, this is just a way for them to say they are asking questions based on how you answered without you being able to say they were biased. When applying, understand they are intending to underpay you and overwork you under the guise of it being a privilege to work for a non-profit.
