The phone interview is to confirm a few details about thinks you might have and you see how well you react to questions asked directly without time to think it over or read a script. I used to to the send phone interviews at a company I worked for. I sat on the other side with a paper assessment and barely listened to what you actually answered so much as how well did you answer, were you personable, are there any red flags (did you tell me a story about doing drugs etc)
