I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at mpb.com (Brighton, England) in Jul 2025
Interview
I had a positive interview experience with the team. The first call was with the Senior Talent Acquisition Manager to assess overall fit and alignment with the role requirements. This was followed by a technical round with a Senior Designer and a member of the Development team, where I presented my portfolio and answered a few coding-related questions since the position requires hands-on coding skills.
Throughout the process, the team was welcoming and encouraged questions at every stage, which made the experience transparent and comfortable. One important note: the company generally does not provide visa sponsorship for this role unless an exceptional case is made.

Question 1
Tell us about one instance where you have conducted A/B testing.
The first interview was a pleasant experience. The interviewer was kind and engaged, though they didn’t have answers to some of my questions and said they’d pass them along for the second round. Unfortunately, the second interview was disappointing. No one showed up to the originally scheduled Zoom meeting, and when it was rescheduled, the interviewers arrived late. The questions asked were very surface-level and didn’t reflect much preparation.
The two men conducting the second interview were noticeably haughty and disengaged, giving the impression that they weren’t particularly interested in the conversation. At one point, they asked whether I had experience with cameras — which I do — and when I followed up by asking if training would be provided to deepen that knowledge, I was told it wouldn’t be necessary since they have a pamphlet for that and any detailed questions would be handled by another department. Overall, the process felt disorganized and dismissive, leaving a poor impression of the company’s structure and communication.

Question 1
What camera knowledge do you have?
Tell me about yourself and what is your previous exp.
Hour long discussion with engineering manager where we discussed a range of engineering topics and projects that I had worked on. Was told I would get feedback regardless of the outcome. Unsurprisingly, never heard anything back. Don't waste your time

Question 1
I was asked questions on engineering topics like TDD and architectural patterns (none of which have right or wrong answers). Answered them and was careful to explain that in engineering the right approach often depends on a number of factors. Was rejected, apparently for not having the correct "opinions" on software eng.
