I applied through other source. I interviewed at iQ Student Accommodation (London, England) in May 2026
Interview
I initially applied online in late April and was contacted by Donny from the People Team for a screening call. During this stage, he explained the role in detail and discussed how my experience aligned with the position.
I progressed to the next interview stage with an Assistant Manager. Unfortunately, that particular role was filled while the hiring manager was on annual leave. However, Donny kept me informed throughout and stayed true to his word by considering me for similar opportunities across other London locations.
In the last week of May, I received a call inviting me to an onsite interview. Approximately a week later, I was informed that I had been successful and offered the position.
A special mention goes to Donny, who was supportive, professional, and responsive throughout the entire process. He patiently answered my questions, kept me updated, and guided me through each stage with a calm and reassuring approach. His communication made what can often be a stressful process feel much smoother.
From my interactions so far, the teams I met appeared positive, welcoming, and easy to work with. I'm excited to start my new role and look forward to becoming part of the team.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The interview began with an explanation of the role and its responsibilities, followed by questions about my previous experience and how I handle working under pressure. I was also given a tour of the site, which helped me better understand the working environment and day-to-day operations.
I was encouraged to ask questions throughout the process, and the conversation felt very open and transparent. It felt like a genuine human interaction rather than a scripted interview. My interviewer, Amy, who is an Assistant Manager from one of the East London sites, was friendly, approachable, and professional. She helped put me at ease, which made me feel much less nervous and allowed me to present myself more confidently.

Interview
Poor interview experience. Ghosted after taking a day off work to go to their recruitment event. Interview was group task only but felt this did not get across the skills required for this role.

Really good interview process, I was kept well informed at each stage and Amy-lou organised my reasonable adjustments to ensure I was comfortable the whole way through. There were 3 stages.
