The interview process may range around 5 to 7 rounds. Aptitude, Technical, F2F interview. They expect you to have deep understanding on the projects that you have done. The first round usually consists of aptitude and puzzles.
I appeared for hardware role. For both hardware and software, there will be 3 rounds, the first will be an technical round covering all fundamentals from ECE. 2nd round will be HR and the 3rd with the director. You will be tested on your core knowledge on all the rounds.
