My experience with the interview process at this company left much to be desired. Initially, I received an email informing me that the interview needed to be rescheduled due to phone service issues. While such issues are understandable, it set a somewhat unprofessional tone from the start.
After rescheduling for the following week, I eagerly prepared for the interview, only to find myself waiting. Disappointingly, they failed to show up, and despite my efforts to reach out, I never received any further communication. This lack of follow-through and professionalism left me feeling ghosted and disrespected.
Having worked with various startup companies in the past, I've encountered my fair share of interview hiccups, but never to this extent. It's concerning to see such disregard for candidates' time and efforts, and it certainly doesn't reflect well on the company's reputation.
In the competitive landscape of startup culture, where agility and professionalism are valued, experiences like these can significantly impact a company's image. This instance serves as a reminder of the importance of effective communication and respect for candidates throughout the interview process.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at chexology (San Jose, CA) in Jan 2022
Interview
Typical interview questions pertaining to behavioral and hard skills.
At the end the interview spent >5 mins telling me about how she cares about every candidate and would aim to give me feedback either through a call/zoom call. It's probably been over 2 weeks now and not a reply after I reached out for an update.
Interview itself went fine but the follow up was just abysmal and unprofessional.

Question 1
Tell me about yourself?
Why do you want to work here? Etc
Thank you so much for your feedback. It is our apologies that we didn't get back to you. If we missed yours, we apologize deeply for keeping you waiting. We understand how it feels to be waiting for a response.
I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at chexology (New York, NY) in Sep 2019
Interview
I reached out through Angel and recieved a quick reply. Two interviews later, I had a call with the CEO, which went well enough to be asked to submit a demo project. After the project, I was asked for one final interview with a consultant that was brought in to review the final candidates. That interview went well, and I thought I would be in the final considerations. Three weeks later, and two follow up emails later, I've heard nothing from anyone that I've spoken with at Chexology. I would recommend looking elsewhere for a gig. My interview process has been 11 weeks so far. No startup worth its salt takes 3 months to hire someone. I understand targeting and hiring someone else, but damn, at least let the interviewers know one way or the other. Don't waste your time. Even if you're super passionate and ready to go, 3 months of an interview process is unheard of. Go find something better.
